At Cardinal Crest Designs, we’re proud to partner with the renowned Cardinal Crest Homes of Kansas City to bring their distinctive, custom floor plans to homeowners everywhere. Backed by over 12 years of experience, our floor plans are crafted with a perfect blend of functionality and breathtaking aesthetics—each one thoughtfully designed to enhance the way you live.

The journey began in the summer of 2011 when Joe Christensen and Adam Shaeffer, college friends with degrees in Construction Management, founded Cardinal Crest Homes. Sharing a vision to create beautiful, unique homes while providing a truly personalized building experience, they quickly established a reputation for excellence. Since then, Cardinal Crest Homes has completed over 150 custom projects throughout the Kansas City metro, delivered award-winning designs, and expanded into commercial construction with Cardinal Crest Commercial.

Eric McKell joined Cardinal Crest Homes in 2017 as an intern while studying Construction Management at Brigham Young University. After earning his degree in 2018, he transitioned to a full-time role, focusing on drafting floor plans. Seven years later, Eric now serves as Cardinal Crest’s Architectural Designer. In this role, he works closely with clients every week, crafting unique architectural drawings and floor plans. In collaboration with Joe and Adam, Eric is excited to showcase many of these custom designs here on our website.

We believe in offering more than just a house—we deliver a true custom experience. Our unique floor plans ensure that each project reflects the vision of our clients while maintaining the highest standards of structural integrity and quality. Every design showcased here has been meticulously analyzed, refined, and reviewed by our entire team, built as if it were our own home.
